Yellowstone Art Boutique

Friday, 1 April 2011

It will be three weeks tomorrow since the grand opening of Yellowstone Art Boutique at Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire. Owner Hannah Stoney, who I met nearly five years ago while studying Art Foundation at college, contacted me last year to see if I was interested in stocking my work in her shop which she planned to open with her Mum, Steph, in March 2011 and it seemed like the perfect timing as I really wanted to get my work into a small retail outlet but I had yet to find a place that I felt really suited the aesthetic and ethos of Little Peche.

When I saw Yellowstone Art Boutique for the first time I was blown away by the attention to detail that Hannah has put into the layout, displays and overall aesthetic of the shop. I don't think I could have found a more perfect place to showcase my work.

(Amazing cotton reel hooks for jewellery displays!)

The hard work and thought that Hannah has put into selecting each individual artist makes for a really unique and cohesive collection that caters for all tastes and I love the way she has mixed all the beautiful work in with lovely well chosen vintage furniture, crockery and sewing machines.

(Here's a lovely display Hannah has done of my work. Love it!)

I'm extremely grateful that I've had a chance to be part of Yellowstone and hope her project goes from strength to strength, so far it seems to be have been recieved by the public really well! And that is no surprise.
